Abridged Tales.
My recent reading kick continues unabated - I've just finished Tamburlaine Must Die by Louise Welsh. Now, how can I put this? It had a good premise - that of the circumstances surrounding Christopher Marlowe's death - and then sort of sketched-out a plot. Unfortunately, it seemed to forgo all character development; detailed descriptions or any sort of excitement designed to engage your interest whatsoever. Which isn't a good thing, obviously. The plot in brief: Who did it? Oh, him. The end. I think I'm safe in omitting any *spoiler* headings with that? Fortunately, I'm onto All Tomorrow's Parties (William Gibson), courtesy of Eccles. It's like sitting down with old, dirty, futuristic, mildly psychotic friends... Dave xx
