It's that time of year again - time for me to get exceptionally geeky. Yes, Doctor Who starts in a few days... I shall bore you silly every Saturday, rest assured.

Also, I have a visitor arriving for a fortnight on the very same day. (Now, if I was a girl, wouldn't that sentence have very different connotations? Gosh, but English is a fantastically deep - and shallow - language).

Oh, and to continue the geeky theme- The Princess Bride was on TV yesterday for the first time in forever (and it's been about as long since I've last seen it). It made me realise just how heavily Shrek borrowed from it. And how much I like Inago.

OK, I'll go bother Cthulu and leave you lot in peace now.

edit: Bloody hell - a guy I used to work with just got an award in the 2006 World Press Photo Awards to add to his title of Diageo Young Photographer of the Year for the UK and Ireland. He's 5 years younger than me and yes, I am bitter/jealous.
