Now, whilst I think kids growing up with drug addicted parents should be protected as much as possible, I'm pretty sure even a (particularly humane) form of eugenics is it, really. Contraception + methadone isn't really addressing the problem, after all, just ensuring that a generation of addictive personalities would remain childless.

Said the MSP responsible for the proposal:

"That way, we could reduce this problem and prevent some of those children coming to harm."

Um... what children? Does he actually know what a contraceptive is?

Hmm - and at the other end of the spectrum, cloning is now no longer simply a science that could save lives, or cure diseases - it's a way to make money out of people who love their pets too much to let them die. Well, die once, anyhow. I will say, I kinda like the name they gave one of their first successes - a kitten called CC, or CopyCat.

Apparently, the weather is going to turn crappy over the weekend - rather irritating as, at the moment, I only get to enjoy it during my lunchbreak. Looks like I'm destined to stay putty-coloured for a while yet, then?
