I may have to have a rant. I ranted to Rob and Kriss on Friday; a taxi driver last night and now, dear readers, it's your turn.

The smoking ban - it hasn't really affected me much, I'm not finding it a huge strain on my life. It's a hassle having to descend 5 stories during my tea break, but I'll survive, I'm sure.

Having said that, forcing people to go outside to smoke is not a particularly good thing, especially when you don't seem to think that that's enough. There's a building on St Vincent's St that has little A4 posters in the windows saying "Only Idiots Smoke Here". So now, not only is smoking bad for the health, but it's unsightly and lowers the tone?

It gets worse, though. Those same posters have a little clip-art image at the bottom of the page: a devil with a pitchfork saying "See You Soon".

What. The. Fuck? Smoking is not only bad for your health and unsightly, but it's evil too? Did I miss a proclamation by the Catholic Church, or a line in the Bible that smoking is the worst of all sins?

You know what? I think an employee from that building should sue the interfering bastarding busybody who put those signs up for discrimination.
