I could write an oh-so-topical entry about the 4-2 win for Germany in the opening game of the World Cup (and how english commentators are already suggesting a quarter final meeting between the two...sigh).

I could be all political and debate the positive and negative effects for Iraq (and the world in general) of al-Zarqawi's death and how it's a great victory for the goodies in the War on Terror. Shame about the women killed in the blast but, you know, collateral damage, isn't it?

Instead, I'll just say that, even having read Northern Lights again last week, this still sounds pretty cool. Although I'm not sure flying about near space when there's a solar flare or something is all that good an idea...
