Just watched Doctor Who again and boy it's like all my childhood dreams come true. Well, aside from the one involving unlimited rice pudding with raspberry jam.

Add to that Portugal winning a horrendously tense shoot-out (why the hell do England put themselves through it every time?) and yesterday was a pretty good day.

I didn't even mind Brazil going out - not when Zidane played so damn well.

I don't have much sympathy for Rooney, though - if you stand on someone's crotch, frankly, you don't desrve much.

Just to reiterate: Daleks versus the Cybermen? Gosh.
