Bad Cover Version
It's a bank holiday in England, so therefore all the national channels are acting like everybody has the day off work. This is a good thing in one way - it means films are on tv where it would normally be the Jeremy (let's give Mail readers what they expect) Kyle Show. On the other hand, watching a bit of Ice Cold In Alex only made me wonder exactly how unoriginal John Williams scores are. If you've ever seen Close Encounters, then you'll know he incorporated a bit of When You Wish Upon a Star into the soundtrack but I realised today that he pretty much ripped off the theme to the aforementioned "stiff upper lip with John Mills" film. Seriously, if you get a chance, compare the two - there's bits of the Star Wars theme and the Imperial March in it. I have no idea why it particularly bothers me, but I just thought I'd mention it. Now, if you'll excuse me - I have to speak to a Dane about a Doctor (Who). Dave xx
